Vintage Style in 2016

Vintage is still going strong as a theme and works so well for groups wanting to ditch the infamous L Plates yet still have a sense of unity in outfits when on the big night out, but what vintage style in 2016 should we be working?

1920’s has definitely been the chosen era for our groups over the last few years, we even rocked the flapper fashion for our Christmas party last year, but vintage doesn’t have to be this far back; here’s what we think will make your hen party hot!

1960’s – The bright and bold is back. Think patterns and the iconic mini skirt complete with twiggy inspired make-up; double eyeliner, false lashes and pale lips. We suggest taking inspiration from Cheryl’s X factor wardrobe for this style.

Other vintage themes and activities that could be incorporated to your weekend:

1920’s – Flapper dresses, faux fur and fabulous glamourous make-up certainly defines this decade. How about adding a vintage murder mystery evening with a fitting venue and storyline to the era.

1930’s – It was all about the wide-shoulders, slim-cuts and belt’s clinching in the waist for a more feminine appearance. There was plenty of blush, ivory complexions and contouring were favoured. A vintage photoshoot would certainly capture memories of the weekend.

1940’s – With a world war ever present luxurious garment weren’t in a position of prominence. Clothing was home-made from fabrics such as curtains, bedsheets and. nightgowns; why not try your hand at a crafty workshop making vintage accessories to accompany your victory rolls.

1950’s – Think grease and A-line skirts for this era! Transform yourself into a cute 50’s pin-up with our hair and high-tea package including a glass of bubbly, vintage afternoon tea, a 1950’s up-do and fitting make-up.
