Our trip to London

Yesterday a couple of us from the Orchid team headed to London to meet suppliers and check out the latest exiting things they could offer for our group getaways. Prepare to be excited!

Our first stop was Pineapple Dance Studios where we met the lovely Michelle and Penelope, the ladies behind www.dancepartyexperience.com.  We had a little tour of the studios, where we managed to take a peek at the unbelievable dancers doing what they do best. Here at the iconic studios, we can offer 1-2 hour dance lessons in the style of your choice where you will have your own professional teacher leading you through the steps. You can also make the most of the Buff and Bubbles package where your very own Butler in the Buff will join the class and serve you some Champagne along the way – tempting indeed!

The next stop was the Hippodrome Casino and Matcham Theatre; our latest package for our groups. Here you will be treated to a cocktail on arrival and get the chance to dance on the stage where the likes of Judy Garland and Charlie Chaplin have performed – a true West End Experience. To make it even better, you have the whole theatre to yourselves. Why not head downstairs after your lesson and make the most of the Casino or head upstairs to the rooftop terrace and enjoy another cocktail or two!

Our afternoon consisted of visiting five of our stunning 4* and 5* hotels, most of which include a luxurious spa where your group can enjoy a dip in the pool or time to unwind in the peaceful relaxation rooms.

One of our personal favourites was the Grange City with views that are hard to beat. If you’re lucky enough to be staying in their Suite, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of Tower Bridge. The Grange St Pauls was also a personal favourite which I can only describe as its own ‘mini city’. With its many restaurants including the popular Benihana, its fully equipped spa and its stylish nightclub, you will find it hard to leave! My tip of the day – if you happen to be staying at one of the Grange hotels, make sure you try one of their tasty Apple Martinis or take some time out to enjoy the highly rated afternoon tea.

To end the our trip to London, we headed to Piccadilly Circus to visit one of our favourite and most popular suppliers, Grace Bar. Here we enjoyed their delicious three course party menu which can accommodate everyone in your group. Most of our groups prefer to dine in one of the many private dining rooms at the restaurant before they head downstairs to party the night away in Cocoa or Milk club.

So be sure to ask us about any of these places if you’re looking to book a group getaway!
