Chamonix Incentive Case Study
We’ve arranged three different events in Chamonix. Given it’s one of the worlds best ski resorts it’s a bit surprising none of the events included any skiing.
Outside the ski season Chamonix is a fantastic town but if you catch it in early Decemeber you’ll get lots of the apres-ski benefits but without the price tag.
The events we’ve planned have been focused around the spa elements, so it doesn’t matter if there’s snow or not.
There’s an abundance of cheap flights with low-cost airlines into Geneva and it’s 1.5 hours to Chamonix from the airport. In early December return flights from the UK can be as little as £50 per person.
The standard of hotels in Chamonix is outstanding. A lot of older hotels have had refurbishments making them stylish modern hotels with funky bars and leisure facilities. The Le Refuge des Aiglons Chamonix is a great example of this and one of our groups visited there just after reopening in 2017. The open air pool with views of Mont Blanc were a huge hit.
The spa in the Hotel Heliopic is outstanding and the hotel is a great base for groups. In 2018 a group stayed here and loved the Ice Room and plunge pool.
Daytime activities requires some flexibility as snow conditions in early December can vary. There’s no guarantee lift will be open and while some groups have been up to La Flégère and enjoyed lunch others have had to stay down in the Valley. Domaine des Planards have an amusement park with toboggan run which can easily fill a whole morning.
In the evening there are great restaurants, in the heart of the town. Cap Horn has been a popular option. After dinner there are loads of traditional drinking spots like Les Caves and Bar’d Up to fill the rest of the evening.
So, let’s talk prices. Weekends like the ones mentioned above can be done for as little as £250pp inc. flights. Obviously get in touch with your requirements and we’ll be able to get exact prices.
