Cambridge Hen Weekends

Cambridge is an excellent option for a more sophisticated and unusual choice of hen weekend. Your hen party in Cambridge could include classic ideas such as punting on the river Cam or visiting some of the famous university buildings, as well as making the most of the vibrant cafe and restaurant scene in the city, or indulging in a spot of shopping in the city’s independent shops.

Situated on the River Cam you will find an abundance of river-based activities to keep you amused on your Cambridge hen do. Ever thought you could sip cocktails aboard a punt with your own personal mixologist making you drinks as you go? How about Cream Tea on a river boat? This is all very do-able in Cambridge.

And if you fancy a night on the tiles, the lively student legacy has left plenty of nightlife options open for you! We can give you our recommendations for the best bars and late night spots for your Cambridge hen night.

Getting to Cambridge for your hen weekend

• By Train – Cambridge Station – find out more from National Rail
• By Plane – London Stansted or London Luton
• By Car – From the South & from London, Cambridge is a short trip up the M11 motorway. From the north, the A1 and M1 link to the A14 dual carriageway straight to the city, and from the east and west, the A14 again takes you to Cambridge.  For up to date travel information on Cambridge and the local area, check the BBC Cambridge website.

It’s really easy to get around Cambridge on your hen weekend by foot.  Also, popular with a lot of the students who go there – is seeing the city by bike, and there are lots of cycle hire shops available throughout the city centre to make it easy for you. However there are some central areas of the centre which are pedestrian only, so you won’t be able to cycle through those. However if you’d rather not walk very far in your heels on your hen night out then there are still plenty of taxi companies!

“Following on from our verbal conversation I just wanted to say a huge big thank you for all the hard work, care and attention to detail that u put in for our weekend away in Bath!

The chosen hotel was perfectly located in the centre and the girls all loved their salubrious rooms plus the delicious breakfast was a very big hit the next day! We certainly tested the kitchen for their poached eggs and smashed advocado option!!
Cocktail making at sub 13 was fantastic and the barman was extremely knowledgeable and skilled in what he showed us plus everyone loved ‘having a go’ too!! Aqua restaurant provided scrummy food to soak up all the cocktails and great ambiance plus we actually made it to circo and had another drink in one of the many cosy lounges! All in all great choice of really good quality venues plus most importantly lots of fun had!! We will most certainly be booking another weekend away with you in the new year!!

Thanks once again both of you and for making Kelly’s bday a huge success!!

Be back in touch again soon!
Kind regards

Jane N, November 2018
